Envision'08 Surpasses Expectations!

Well, I think I've finally recouped from the envision'08 experience. Wow! What a blowout...500 attendees! Guy Kawasaki couldn't believe it was our inaugural event. A head honcho at Oracle explained that he attends conferences all over the world and has never seen anything like envision'08.

I'd like to take just a moment and thank all those volunteers that helped get the word out. You know who you are: Dean McCall (San Antonio), Eric Standlee, Marc Nathan, Dayna Marcum, Jill Lindquist, Christine Spray, Larry Collis, Kyle Leney, Mike Young, Greg Price,
Mary Wilson, Hilla Abileah, Jim Pillans, and many, many more.

Here's a little taste of what went on at envision'08 with more footage to come:

Envision'08 Shares Buckingham's Message with San Antonio Student Athletes

Envision'08, in partnership with the San Antonio Sports Foundation, will be providing 20 student athletes an opportunity to hear Marcus Buckingham speak.

“The San Antonio Sports Foundation is grateful for the opportunity to share Mr. Buckingham’s message with our young athletes,” said Dr. Susan Blackwood, executive director of the Sports Foundation. “They are highly motivated young people on the cusp of making significant decisions in their lives. I expect a speaker of Mr. Buckingham’s caliber will inspire them to develop their strengths and pursue their passions in college and beyond.”

The athletes are participants in the San Antonio Sports Foundation's Dreams for Youth and Community Olympic Development Program. They are fencers, badminton players, divers and volleyball players who are competitive athletes at the regional and national levels.

So many of the people we've talked to about our keynote speakers knew who Guy Kawasaki is, but not Marcus Buckingham. Who is Marcus Buckingham? Here's what he'd tell you...

"After more than 17 years with the Gallup organization and in recent years as an author, researcher and speaker, I’ve dedicated my life to starting and sustaining a strengths revolution.
